We are taking registrations prior to the event through Wednesday May 13, 2009 via Fax 760-743-1131, on line prokenpo.com, or by phone 866-825-7346.

Friday night May 15, 2009 from 5:00-9:00pm at the Holiday inn
Saturday and Sunday from 7:00am at the Sports Arena

Our last cut off for preregistration’s (on-line, mail, or fax) is May 5, 2009
We will also be accepting registrations through May 13, 2009 (on-line, mail or fax)
This will allow you to be registered before those at the door. We do first to register last to compete.
All competitors are welcome to come to the door to register to compete.
HOLIDAY INN has extended their $95.00 room rate if you call Elizabeth directly at the hotel 619-881-6109. If you have registered at the hotel at a higher rate if you give me your confirmation number I can get you the reduced rate.

Holiday Inn 619-881-6100 has given us a reduced room rate if you book prior to April 15. $95.00 a night, anyone who has already registered will get credit on your bill back to this rate. See you in San Diego
We have had several questions on this. When we say first to register last to compete it means that those in forms who sign up it is dated and entered into our computer those who sign up first compete last. In sparring those that sign up first get any available buys in point sparring, continuous sparring and team sparring.
Thank you for participating in the past years tournament.
We have done the first to register last to compete since starting the tournament. We feel that it is fair and allows some benefit to preregistering. Everyone who signs up at the door are shuffled. We made this decision based on going to so many tournaments that seat the top four or eight competitors from there association leaving everyone coming from the outside to have a legitimate disadvantage.
Without knowing what division you are referring to I can not comment on a blackbelt being treated with favoritism. We hold judges meetings prior to the event and the promoter does not run these meetings, he does not arbitrate at his own tournament, and to my knowledge none of his junior blackbelts competed in the tournament.
Again we are sorry for your decision not to join us but we will not be changing this registration program. We have changed our location back to the San Diego Concourse on April 24-25, 2010 if you do decide that your students can attend.
We appreciate your experience it is similar to Master Georgion’s we have been fortunate with our school and tournament that we have remained able to have this event. It would be an extreme circumstance to cause a cancellation.
